This was our second time staying at the Oaks Townsville Metropole Hotel, and it was just as delightful as the first! The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, offering a perfect balance of coziness and atmosphere. We especially loved the spectacular view from the balcony — waking up to the serene waterfront and mountains was truly a treat. Everything felt fresh and inviting. The front desk team was friendly and welcoming, and having a great restaurant just a few steps from the hotel made it so convenient. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Townsville — My husband and I will definitely be back again!

Very comfortable room, well appointed. Pleasantly surprised to see there was an ironing board and iron supplied. Also happy with the onsite parking although the spaces are a bit small for the size of cars these days. Mine is just a small sports car and I had a bit of trouble finding a spot that didn't have a bit monster vehicle either side taking up the room they do!

My husband and I recently stayed at Oaks Townsville Metropole Hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The room was nice with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The view from our window was spectacular and captivating, while the cleanliness of the hotel was satisfactory. The meticulous housekeeping contributed to an overall sense of well-being. We really enjoyed our evening swims at the hotel pool, which was situated in a private and convenient corner. We highly recommend this hotel for a joyful and relaxing experience.

As always as it is not our first stay here but it is our preferred place to stay when we visit townsville. Beds are huge as 1 of is not small but not overly big so the beds are comfortable and big. Small kitchen, washer and dryer, undercover parking so it gives us peace of mind to park our car. Walking distance to football stadium and not a big walk or ride to casino and other nightly businesses.

Polite staff, from check-in to check-out and we could leave our bags after checkout and come back pick them up. Kudos to house keeping for moving that heavy sofa and splitting the bed into 2 single beds upon my request, keep up the great work, I see you. Walking distance to some great eateries along the same street; although they have a restaurant which we didn't try out maybe next time. Pretty quiet as the building is located at the end of the street I believe. We had a mountain view room.

The room was comfortable and the perfect size for a single guest. I appreciated that it was quiet and loved the water views. Reception took immediate action when I advised the balcony door wouldn't open and it was repaired promptly.

location was great, very close to resteraunts and cafes. Great location the view particularily at night of the city was very nice. A higher floor would be better, too close to roof and exhaust/airconditioning ourlets from building in front but otherwise it was very nice.
